Between founders Mike and Walt, Define Apparel has over 50 years of experience.
The company is the result of cosmic forces propelled by ex-girlfriends, a desire to support artistic integrity, East Coast grit, and West Coast panache. This isn't about style, fitting in, trend-following, "visceral" marketing, or buzz. If you found us, it's because you wanted to try something new and, hopefully, believe in the power of creativity.
As an ardent supporter of freedom of expression, Define strives to support the artistic community which it thrives on. World leaders and politicians may determine the rules and structures of a society, but it's the artists who add color and give a culture it's identity. Photographers, writers, painters, graphic designers, actors, musicians, and anyone else who creates something unique are the ones we pay homage to. And of that group, the most important are those who have yet to make it. The ones who have nothing to lose and everything to gain are the ones most daring and push the limits the hardest. For that reason, we have chosen to support artists in any way, shape or form to forge creative bonds and grow the brand.

Mike sought out a friend in Walt, whom shared mutual creative desires, and the two formulated Define over some drinks. We give thanks and appreciation to those who have supported us since day one. Its just the beginning. Best.
